REGULATION (EEC) No 1588/71 OF THE COMMISSION

of 23 July 1971 amending Regulation (EEC) No 1403/69 as regards the denaturing of common wheat

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : MUNITIES, Sole Article Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; The following shall be substituted for Article 2 ( a) Having regard to Council Regulation No and ( b) of Regulation (EEC) No 1403 /69 ; 120/67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common organisation of the market in cereals, as last amended '( a) have a specific weight, in the case of common by Regulation (EEC) No 1550/71 ,2 and in particular wheat, of not less than a weight fixed by the Article 7 (5 ) thereof; intervention agencies at between 70 and 75 Whereas the conditions under which intervention kg/hi , according to the region ; agencies may take over cereals have been made more stringent, in particular as regards specific weight ; (b ) have a specific weight, in the case of rye, of whereas on this point less rigid ' criteria should be at least, 68 kg/hi ;' adopted for denaturing;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August Management Committee for Cereals ; 1971 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
