amending Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 as regards the period of validity of export licences for sugar

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ by Regulation (EEC) No 2849/71 ,4 and at the same MUNITIES , time for increasing the amount of the security to take account of sudden severe fluctuations in world market quotations ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the Management Committee for Sugar ; Having regard to Council Regulation No 1009 /67/EEC 1 of 18 December 1967 on the common HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : organization of the market in sugar, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2727/71 ,2 and in particular Article 11 (2) thereof; Article 1

The following Article 33a shall be inserted in Whereas, for the first time since the establishment of Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 : the common organization of the market in sugar, quotations on the world market have moved 'Article 33 a considerably closer to prices ruling within the 1 . This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
