REGULATION (EEC) No 606/72 OF THE COUNCIL

of 23 March 1972 amending Regulation (EEC) No 1599/71 as regards the application of additional conditions with which imported wines for direct human comsumption have to comply

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, whereas, in view of the contacts which have to be made with the third countries exporting wine to the Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Community, it does not appear possible to keep to this date and therefore a later date should be fixed ; European Economic Community ;

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 816/701 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provisions for the common organization of the market in wine, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Article 1 No 2722/71 ,2 and in particular Article 28 ( 1 ) (b ) thereof; The date 1 July 1972 shall be substituted for the date 1 April 1972 in Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; 1599 /71 .

Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 1599/71 ,3 as amended Article 2 by Regulation (EEC) No 2830/71,4 laid down additional conditions with which imported wines for direct human consumption have to comply; whereas This Regulation shall enter into force on the day Article 4 of that Regulation provides that such following its publication in the Official Journal of the additional conditions shall apply from 1 April 1972; European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
