further amending the Annex to Regulation No 451/67/EEC determining the quantity of potatoes required for the manufacture of 100 kilogrammes of starch

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ equal to the refund granted for the quantity of maize MUNITIES, necessary fori the manufacture of 100 kilogrammes of starch ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas, in the Annex to Regulation No 451 /67/EEC,6 as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1438/71 ,7 the Having regard to Council Regulation No 120/67/ amounts of the production refunds granted per 100 EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common organization kilogrammes of potatoes and the amounts of the of the market in cereals, as last amended by Regu­ minimum price to be paid to the potato grower lation (EEC) No 2727/712 ; should therefore be adjusted to reflect the increase in the threshold price, since, in accordance with Article 3 Having regard to Council Regulation No 371 /67/EEC3 of 25 July 1967 fixing production of Regulation No 371 /67/EEC, that price includes the amount of the refund; refunds on starches and quellmehl, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2273/70,4 and in particular Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Article 5 thereof; are in accordance with the Opinion of the Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 1405/725 of Management Committee for Cereals; 27 June 1972 fixing the threshold price for cereals for the 1972/73 marketing year fixed the threshold price HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : for maize at a level higher than that which was operative for the 1971/72 marketing year; whereas, Sole Article pursuant to Article 1 ( 1 ) of Regulation No 371 /67/EEC, this increase has resulted in an increase As from 1 August 1972 the Annex to this Regulation in the amount of the production refund on maize for shall be substituted for the Annex to Commission starch manufacture; whereas, in accordance with Regulation No 451/67/EEC of 14 August 1967 paragraph 2 of that Article, the production refund determining the quantity of potatoes required for the granted per 100 kilogrammes of potato starch is manufacture of 100 kilogrammes of starch. .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
