supplementing Regulation (EEC) No 1533/72 as regards the fixing of the denaturing pre­ mium for common wheat for the 1972/73 marketing year in the new Member States

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas it is therefore necessary to amend Com­ COMMUNITIES , mission Regulation (EEC) No 1533/72 (4) of 18 July 1972 fixing the denaturing premium for common wheat for the 1972/73 marketing year ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage­ Having regard to Council Regulation No 120/67/ ment Committee for Cereals , EEC (*) of 13 June 1967 on the common organization of the market in cereals, as last amended by the Act (2) annexed to the Treaty (3) on the Accession of new HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Member States to the European Economic Community and the European Atomic Energy Community, Article 1 signed at Brussels on 22 January 1972, and in par­ ticular Article 7 (5 ) thereof ; The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 1533/72 is amended by the addition of the following* note : Whereas , pursuant to Article 57 of the Act, in fixing ' Note : The total amount of the premium shall be : the level of the various elements of the price and intervention system, except for intervention prices , — reduced in Denmark and the United account is to be taken , to the extent necessary for the Kingdom by 1 unit of account per proper functioning of Community rules, of the metric ton , difference in prices expressed by the compensatory — increased in Ireland by 5 units of amount ; account per metric ton .'

Whereas , in view of the price structure in the new Member States and in order to ensure the proper Article 2 functioning of Community rules , a denaturing premium should be fixed for the new Member States This Regulation shall enter in force on the day of equal to that applicable in the Community as originally its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities . constituted and adjusted , not by the whole but by part of the amount of the , compensatory amounts taken into consideration ; This Regulation shall apply from 1 February 1973 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
