REGULATION (EEC) No 2053 /73 OF THE COMMISSION of 25 July 1973

fixing the compensatory amounts for eggs

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the compensatory amounts for ovalbumin COMMUNITIES, and lactalbumin must be derived from the same compensatory amounts by means of the coefficients Having regard to the Treaty (*) signed in Brussels on fixed by Commission Regulation No 201 /67/EEC of 22 January 1972 on the Accession of new Member 28 June 1967 on detailed rules for the application of States to the European Economic Community and Regulation No 170/67/EEC on the common system the European Atomic Energy Community, as of trade for ovalbumin and lactalbumin and repealing amended by the Decision of 1 January 1973 (2); Regulation No 48/67/EEC (7);

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No -Whereas the calculation of the compensatory 237/73 (3) of 31 January 1973 laying down general amounts for trade with Denmark results in minimal rules for the system of compensatory amounts for amounts ; whereas in implementation of Article 55 (4) eggs, and in particular Article 9 (2) thereof; of the Act of Accession there is no need to fix compensatory amounts for that country; Whereas compensatory amounts for eggs were fixed for the period until 31 July 1973 by Regulation Whereas the Management Committee for (EEC) No 237/73 and Commission Regulation (EEC) Poultrymeat and Eggs has not delivered an Opinion No 369/73 (4) of 31 January 1973 ; within the time set by its Chairman ;

Whereas the compensatory amounts applicable from 1 August 1973 for eggs in shell are to be calculated HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : on the basis of the compensatory amounts fixed for these products in Regulation (EEC ) No 237/73 and Article 1 by reference to the variation in the compensatory amounts applicable for the quantity of feed grains The compensatory amounts for egg products, required to produce of one kilogramme of eggs in ovalbumin and lactalbumin applicable from 1 August shell or hatching eggs in the Community ; 1973 until 3 July 1974 in trade between the Community as originally constituted and the new Whereas the compensatory amounts applicable in the Member States, and between those States and third same period for other egg products must be derived countries , shall be fixed as shown in the Annex. from the compensatory amount for eggs in shell, other than hatching eggs, by means of the coefficients Article 2 fixed by Commission Regulation No 164/67/EEC (5) of 26 June 1967 fixing the factors -for calculating levies and sluice-gate prices for derived egg products, This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1005/68 ( 6); 1973 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
