amending Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2198/69 of 30 October 1969 concerning the periods of grace referred to in Article 10 (2) and (3 ) of Council Regulation No 803/68 on the valuation of goods for customs purposes

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES, Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the ' European Economic Community ; The Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2198/69 of 30 October 1969 , as amended by Com­ 803/68 (*) of 27 June 1968 on the valuation of mission Regulation (EEC) No 1038/71 of 24 May goods for customs purposes, and in particular Article 1971 , concerning the periods of grace referred to in 10 (4) thereof ; Article 10 (2) and (3 ) of Council Regulation (EEC) Having regard to Commission Regulation (EEC) No No 803/68 , is amended as follows : 2198 /69 (2 ) of 30 October 1969 , as amended by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1038/71 (3) of ( 1 ) the following items are inserted : 24 May 1971 , concerning the periods of grace ex 02.01 B II d) frozen sheep's brains 12, referred to in Article 10 (2) and (3 ) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 803 /68 on the valuation of ex 07.06 B sweet potatoes 18 goods for customs purposes ; (2) in the following item in the table : Whereas certain Member States have been able to ex 07.06 B manioc, whole, or sliced establish that frozen sheep's brains, sweet potatoes or chipped 12 and manioc, whole, or sliced or chipped, are usually sold with delivery periods exceeding six months for the Common Customs Tariff number and the frozen sheep's brains and twelve months for sweet period ( in months ) are replaced by ex 07.06 A potatoes and manioc ; whereas it is appropriate to and 18 respectively. provide for a period of grace of twelve months in respect of frozen sheep's brains and of eighteen Article 2 months in respect of sweet potatoes and manioc ; Whereas the provisions of this Regulation are in This Regulation shall enter into force one month accordance with the Opinion of the Customs after its publication in the Official Journal of the Valuation Committee, European Communities.
