REGULATION (EEC) No 462/75 OF THE COUNCIL

of 27 February 1975 extending the system of premiums for the orderly marketing of certain adult bovine animals for slaughter and for the retention of cattle

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas these systems have had the desired effect on COMMUNITIES , the beef and veal market; whereas this continues, however, to experience difficulties ; whereas these Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European systems should therefore be extended for a short Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 period pending the implementation of a system of thereof; aid to producers of adult bovine animals for slaughter, Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 805/68 (*) of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal, as last HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1855/74 (2), and in particular Article 22 (a) (2) thereof; Article 1

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) 1 . In Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 1967/74 the No 1967/74 (3) of 23 July 1974 introducing a system date '28 February 1975' is replaced by '30 April of premiums for the orderly marketing of certain 1975 '. adult bovine animals for slaughter, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2803 /74 (4), and in 2. The following lines are added to the table shown particular Article 5 thereof; in the second paragraph of Article 2 (2) of Regulation ( EEC) No 1967/74 : Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; 'March 1975 80 Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament ; April 1975 80.'

Having regard to the Opinion of the Economic and Article 2 Social Committee ; The following lines are added to the table shown in Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 1967/74 introduced Article 1 ( 1 ) ( a) of Regulation (EEC) No 2504/74 : a system of premiums for the orderly marketing of certain adult bovine animals for slaughter ; whereas 'March 1975 30 Regulation (EEC) No 2502/74 (5 ) introduced a system April 1975 30.' of premiums for the retention of cattle for certain regions of the Community ; whereas the cost of these systems was financed by the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (Guarantee Section ) This Regulation shall enter into force on the third within the limits laid down by Regulation (EEC) day following its publication in the Official Journal No 2504/74 (6); of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States . Done at Brussels, 27 February 1975 .
