REGULATION (EEC) No 470/75 OF THE COUNCIL
of 27 February 1975
amending Regulation (EEC) No 1191/73 laying down general rules for the granting of a consumer subsidy for butter
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Article 1 European Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 thereof; Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 1191/73 is hereby amended to read as follows : Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 804/ 'Article 1 68 (') of 27 June 1968 on the common organization Member States shall to the advantage of private of the market in milk and milk products, as last ultimate consumers (during the 1975 /76 milk year amended by Regulation (EEC) No 465/75 (2), and be authorized to grant aid for butter). However, in particular Article 12 (2) thereof; this aid shall not exceed 45 units of account per 100 kg.' Having regard to the proposal from the Commission Article 2 Having regard to the Opinion of the European Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 1191 /73 is hereby Parliament ; amended to read as follows :
Having regard to the Opinion of the Economic and ' Article 3 Social Committee ; Notwithstanding the system referred to in Article 3 of Council Regulation (EEC) No 729/70 of Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 1191/73 (3) 21 April 1970 on the financing of the common of 8 May 1973 laying down general rules for the agricultural policy, as last ameneded by the Act granting of a consumer subsidy for butter, as of Accession (5), the Guarantee Section of the amended by Regulation (EEC) No 194/75 (4 ), European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee authorizes the Member States, until the end of the Fund shall contribute : 1974/75 milk year, to grant private ultimate — for aid less than 10 u.a. / 100 kg butter : consumers an aid for butter up to 36-50 units of 50 % of the aid ; account per 100 kg; — for aid not less than 10 u.a . but less than 36.50 u.a./ 100 kg of butter : 5 u.a./100 kg ; Whereas, in view of the situation in the Community — for aid not less than 36.50 u.a. / 100 kg butter : butter market, it would seem appropriate to maintain 5 u.a./ 100 kg plus 50 % of that part of the that authorization so as to increase the sale of butter aid exceeding 36-50 u.a./ 100 kg.' to dispose of the existing surpluses ; whereas it is necessary, at the same time, to adapt the maximum Article 3 amount of the aid towards the intervention price for butter for the 1975/76 milk year and to lay down the This Regulation shall enter into force on 3 March 1975 . proportion of the aid financed by the Community.
