REGULATION (EEC) No 3308/75 OF THE COUNCIL v of 16 December 1975 supplementing Regulation (EEC) No 2455/70 determining common marketing standards for certain fresh or chilled fish

f THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES, Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; The following species shall be added to the list in Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 2455/70 : 'Hake 2142/70 (') of 20 October 1970 on the common organ­ (Merluccius sp.p.)\ ization of the market in fishery products, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 11 82/75 (2), and in Article 2 particular Article 2 (3) thereof ; The following size scale for hake shall be added to Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; Annex B to Regulation (EEC) No 2455/70 : Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 2142/70 provides for the adoption of common marketing standards ; Hake l whereas the application of such standards should help to improve the quality of the fish marketed and thus kg/fish facilitate its sale ; whereas such rules were laid down Size 1 1-2 and over for products listed in Annex I (A) to that Regulation in its original version by Council Regulation (EEC) Size 2 From 0-6 up to but excluding 1-2 No 2455/70 (3) of 30 November 1970 determining Size 3 From 0-250 up to but excluding 0-6 Size 4 Less than 0-250 ^ common marketing standards for certain fresh or chilled fish, as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1082/71 (4);

Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 1182/75 added hake to Article 3 Annex I (A) of Regulation (EEC) No 2142/70 ; whereas, therefore, marketing standards should be This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1976 . determined for this species,
