COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 517/76 of 8 March 1976 on an invitation to tender for the supply of butteroil as food aid to the Republic of Bangladesh

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES,

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Tenders are invited, as provided in Regulation (EEC) No 2247/75, for the costs of manufacturing and delivery to the Republic of Bangladesh of 3 500 metric tons of butteroil divided up into six lots as Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No follows : 804/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in milk and milk products ('), as last — lot Al : 500 metric tons, amended by Regulation (EEC) No 740/75 (2), and in — lot A2 : 500 metric tons, particular Article 6 (7) thereof, — lot A3 : 750 metric tons, — lot B1 : 500 metric tons, — lot B2 : 500 metric tons, Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 1542/75 of 16 — lot B3 : 750 metric tons . June 1975 on the supply of milk as food aid to certain developing countries and international organi­ zations under the 1975 food-aid programme ^), Article 2 provides inter alia that 7 000 metric tons of butteroil should be made available to the Republic of Bangla­ 1 . The butter to be used in manufacturing the desh ; whereas this country has made a request for butteroil shall be taken from : delivery of 3 500 metric tons ; — the German intervention agency as regards lots Al to A3 (1 750 metric tons), Whereas Article 5 of Council Regulation (EEC) No — the French intervention agency as regards lots B1 1541 /75 of 16 June 1975 laying down general rules to B3 (1 750 metric tons). for the supply of milk fats as food aid to certain deve­ loping countries and international organizations under 2. Article 4 2. The time limit for the submission of tenders shall be 23 March 1976 at 12 noon . 1 . By way of derogation from Article 4 (2) of Regu­ lation (EEC) No 2247/75, the successful tenderer shall make precise in his tender submitted to the interven­ tion agency for how many and for which lots his Article 5 tender is valid .

The maximum amount to be fixed in accordance with This Regulation shall enter into force on the day Article 7 of Regulation (EEC) No 2247/75 shall be, following its publication in the Official Journal of should it so happen, a global amount for several lots. the European Communities.
