COUNCIL REGULATION (EEC) No 835/76 of 6 April 1976 on the supply of butter or butteroil under Regulation (EEC) No 1542/75 to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as food aid for the sections of the population affected by the events in Cyprus

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the Office of the United Nations High COMMUNITIES, Commissioner for Refugees has requested food aid in the form of milk fats for Cyprus ; whereas the needs Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European of the sections of the population affected by the Economic Community, events in Cyprus warrant aid from the Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1541 /75 of 16 June 1975 laying down general rules HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : for the supply of milk fats as food aid to certain deve­ loping countries and international organizations under Article 1 the 1975 food-aid programme (J ), and in particular Article 8 thereof, Of the 4 550 metric tons of butteroil equivalent provided for as a reserve under Regulation (EEC) No Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, 1542/75, 650 metric tons in the form of butter or butteroil shall be allocated to the Office of the United Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 1541 /75 provides for the supply of 43 400 metric tons of butteroil as food Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for the aid to certain developing countries and international sections of the population affected by the events in organizations ; Cyprus.

Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 1542/75 of 16 Article 2 June 1975 on the supply of milk fats to certain deve­ loping countries and international organizations under This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day the 1975 food-aid programme (2), provides for a following its publication in the Official Journal of reserve of 4 550 metric tons of butteroil ; the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
