altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN the percentage taken as a basis when the monetary COMMUNITIES, compensatory amounts were last fixed;

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Whereas quotations recorded durinig the am period Economic Community, show a difference of more than one point for the Italian lira calculated at the representative rate Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No applying to the products in respect of which the 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of con marketing year has not yet begun ; whereas, on the junctural policy to be taken in agriculture following other hand, there is a difference of 0-9 point for the the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation lira calculated at the rate applying to the other pro for the currencies of certain Member States (*), as ducts whereas on analogy with Article 5 of Regulation last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 (2), and ( EEC ) No 1380/75 , the monetary compensatory in particular Article 3 thereof, amounts for all products should be modified in accordance with the difference recorded for each one Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts of them, provided for in Regulation (EEC ) No 974/71 were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 of 15 March 1976 (3), as last amended by Regulation HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : ( EEC ) No 1607/ 76 (4 );

Whereas, under Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No Article 1 974/71 , the monetary compensatory amounts must be altered if the difference referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of 1 . In Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 that Regulation changes by one point or more from the columns headed 'United Kingdom', 'Ireland' and the percentage taken as a basis for the preceding 'Italia' are hereby replaced by those set out in determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts Annex I to this Regulation. must be altered in accordance with the change in this difference ;

2. Annexes II and III to Regulation (EEC) No Whereas detailed rules for the application of monetary 572/76 are hereby replaced by Annexes II and III to compensatory amounts were laid down by Regulation this Regulation . ( EEC) No 1380/75 of 29 May 1975 (5 ), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1577/76 (6); whereas the spot market rates recorded for the Article 2 pound sterling, the Irish pound and the Italian lira pursuant to Regulation (EEC ) No 1380/75 during the period 30 June to 6 July 1976 show that the This Regulation shall enter into force on 12 July difference has changed by more than one point from 1976 .
