altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas detailed rules for the application of monetary COMMUNITIES, compensatory amounts were laid down by Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 of 29 May 1975 (5), as last Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1577/76 (6); Economic Community, whereas the spot market rates recorded for the French franc pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 during the period 14 to 20 July 1976 show 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of con that the difference has changed by more than one junctural policy to be taken in agriculture following point from the percentage taken as a basis when the the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation monetary compensatory amounts were last fixed, for the currencies of certain Member States ( 1 ), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 (2), and in particular Article 3 thereof, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

"Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts Article 1 provided for in Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 of 1 . In Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 15 March 1976 (3 ), as last amended by Regulation the column headed 'France' is hereby replaced by ( EEC ) No 1726/76 (4 ); that set out in Annex I to this Regulation.

Whereas, under Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 2. Annexes II and III to Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 , the monetary compensatory amounts must be 572/76 are hereby replaced by Annexes II and III to altered if the difference referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of this Regulation. that Regulation changes by one point or more from the percentage taken as a basis for the preceding Article 2 determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts must be altered in accordance with the change in this This Regulation shall enter into force on 26 July difference ; 1976 .
