altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas detailed rules for the application of monetary COMMUNITIES, compensatory amounts were laid down by Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 of 29 May 1975 (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1834/76 (8); Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European whereas the spot market rates recorded for the Economic Community, Irish pound and the pound sterling pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 during the period Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 18 to 24 August 1976 show that the difference has 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of con­ changed by more than one point from the percentage junctural policy to be taken in agriculture following taken as a basis when the monetary compensatory amounts were last fixed, the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member States (*), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 (2), and HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : in particular Article 3 thereof,

Article 1 Whereas the monetary compensatory » amounts provided for in Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were 1 . In Parts 1 , 2, 3 , 4, 5 , 7 and 8 of Annex I to fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 of Regulation (EEC) No 572/ 76 the columns headed 15 March 1976 (3), as last amended by Regulation 'United Kingdom' and 'Ireland' are hereby replaced (EEC) No 2070/76 (4 ); by those set out in Annex I to this Regulation .

2. Annexes II and III to Regulation (EEC) No Whereas, under Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 are hereby replaced by Annexes II and III to 974/71, the monetary compensatory amounts must be this Regulation. altered if the difference referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation changes by one point or more from the percentage taken as a basis for the preceding Article 2 determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts must be altered in accordance with the change in this This Regulation shall enter into force on 30 August difference; 1976.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.

1) However, for the skimmed-milk powder sent from another Member State to Italy, accor­ ding to Regulation (EEC) No 1624/76 (OJ No L 180, 6. 7. 1976), this amount is affected by the coefficient 0*58.
