altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN whereas the spot market rates recorded for the COMMUNITIES, Italian lira, the French franc, the pound sterling and the Irish pound pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 during the period 22 to 28 September 1976 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European show that the difference has changed by more than Economic Community, one point from the percentage taken as a basis when the monetary compensatory amounts were last fixed ;

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of con­ Whereas, however, in view of the developments in the junctural policy to be taken in agriculture following exchange rates of the pound sterling and the Irish the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation pound, and pending an urgent decision on the matter for the currencies of certain Member States (*), as by the Council, it is appropriate to maintain, as a last amended by Regulation (EEC ) No 557/76 (2 ), precautionary measure, the monetary amounts fixed and in particular Articles 3 and 7 thereof, with effect from 27 September 1976 for the two

currencies in question ;

Whereas, under Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 , the monetary compensatory amounts must be HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : altered if the difference referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation changes by one point or more from the percentage taken as a basis for the preceding Article 1 determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts must be altered in accordance with the change in this difference ; 1 . In Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 the columns headed ' Italia' and ' France' are hereby replaced by those set out in Annex I to this Whereas detailed rules for the application of monetary Regulation . compensatory amounts were laid down by Regulation ( EEC ) No 1380/75 of 29 May 1975 (5 ), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1834/76 (6); 2. Annexes II and III to Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 are replaced by Annexes II and III to this Regulation .

Dog, når disse produkter indeholder skummetmælkspulver og enten a) fiskemel eller fiskeolie og/eller fiskelevertran, b) aktivt kul og/eller en blanding af tartrazingult (E 102) og patent blue V (E 131 ) eller cochenillerødt A (E 124) eller patentblue V (E 131 ), c) jerncarbonat og/eller jernsulfat og/eller kobbersulfat, anvendes det monetære udligningsbeløb til veksling inden for Fællesskabet og med tredjelande, henholdsvis — for underposition 23.07 B I a) 2 i stedet for underposition 23.07 B I a) 1 , — for underposition 23.07 B I b) 2 i stedet for underposition 23.07 B I b) 1 , — for underposition 23.07 B I c) 2 i stedet for underposition 23.07 B I c) 1 .

C) Pour les produits relevant de la sous-position 23.07 B I c) 1 ou 2 du tarif douanier commun, d'une teneur en poids supérieure à 50% de produits relevant de la position 07.06 ou 11.06 du tarif douanier commun, les montants compensatoires monétaires sont applicables aux produits relevant de la sous­ position 07.06 A du tarif douanier commun (Règlement ( CEÈ) n° 1497/76, JO n0 L 167 du 26. 6. 1976, p . 27).
