COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1020/79 of 23 May 1979 altering certain monetary compensatory amounts in the cereals sector

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN were fixed subject to alteration according to changes COMMUNITIES , in the exchange rates referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 ; whereas the amounts Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European published in Regulation (EEC) No 746/79 do not take Economic Community, account of the latest alterations in the monetary Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No compensatory amounts in the case of Italy and the 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of United Kingdom ; whereas it is therefore necessary to republish these amounts, conjunctural policy to be taken in agriculture following the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : States ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 987/79 (2), and in particular Article 3 thereof, ■ Article 1

Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts intro­ With regard to the 'United Kingdom' and 'Italia' duced by Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed by columns in Annex I, Part 1 , to Regulation (EEC) No Commission Regulation (EEC) No 710/79 of 9 April 710/79, the monetary compensatory amounts for the 1979 (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No products listed in the Annex to that Regulation shall 1007/79 (4); be those given in the Annex hereto. Whereas by Commission Regulation (EEC) No A rticle 2 746/79 of 11 April 1979 (5) certain monetary compen­ satory amounts were altered with effect from 28 May This Regulation shall enter into force on 28 May 1979 for the cereals sector ; whereas the new amounts 1979 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
