COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 3014/ 79 of 27 December 1979 amending Regulation (EEC) No 2140/79 as regards certain monetary compensa­ tory amounts for milk and milk products

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Milk and Milk Products, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of Article 1 conjunctural policy to be taken in agriculture following the temporary widening of the margins of In Part 5 of Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member 2140/79 : States ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No — subheading '04.04 E I b) 1 bb)' of the Common 987/79 (2), and in particular Article 3 thereof, Customs Tariff is replaced by subheading '04.04 E Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts intro- I b) 1 \ duced by Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed by — note ( 13) is added in column 3 ('Notes') in respect Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2140/79 of 28 of products falling within subheadings 04.04 E I b) September 1979 (3), as last amended by Regulation 1 and 04.04 E I b) 5, (EEC) No 3013/79 (4); — the following note ( 13) is added after note ( 12) : Whereas, in accordance with Article 9 of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2915/79 of 18 December 1979 ( 13) No compensatory amount shall apply to determining the groups of products and the special cheese imported within the limits of the tariff provisions for calculating levies on milk and milk quotas referred to in Article 9 of Regulation products (5), certain types of cheeses will be subject to (EEC) No 2915/79.' a system of tariff quotas as from 1 January 1980, under the condition that minimum prices expressed Article 2 in ECU shall be respected ; whereas, consequently, it is not necessary to apply, from that date, monetary This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January compensatory amounts for the cheeses in question ; 1980 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
