COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 253/93 of 3 February 1993 extending the temporary suspension of advance fixing of export refunds on beef and veal

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Committee for Beef and Veal, Economic Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : in beef and veal (!), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 125/93 (2),

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 885/68 of Article 1 28 June 1968 laying down general rules for granting export refunds on beef and veal and criteria for fixing the The , advance fixing of export refunds on the products amount of such refunds (3), as last amended by Regulation covered by CN code 0102 90 71 referred to in the Annex (EEC) No 427/77 (4), and in particular the first subpara­ to Regulation (EEC) No 252/93(*) is hereby supended for graph of Article 5 (4) thereof, the period 5 February to 30 April 1993. Whereas, in order to discourage applications for the advance fixing of refunds for adult male bovine animals from being submitted for speculative purposes, the Article 2 advance fixing of refunds should be suspended tempora­ rily ; This Regulation shall enter into force on 5 February 1993.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
