REGULATION (EEC) No 589/71 OF THE COMMISSION of 19 March 1971 amending Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 as regards the period of validity of export licences for milk and milk products

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : MUNITIES, Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; The following shall be substituted for Article 35 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No '2. An export licence issued in accordance with 804/681 of 27 June 1968 on the common organisation Regulation (EEC) No 2683/70 with advance of the market in milk and milk products, as last fixing of the refund shall, for the products listed amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1253 /70,2 and in below, falling within the headings of the particular Article 17 (4) thereof; Common Customs Tariff specified, be valid from their date of issue within the meaning of Article 8 Whereas Article 35 (2) of ' Commission Regulation ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1373 /70, (EEC) No 2637/703 of 23 December 1970 on special detailed rules for the application of the system of ( a) until the end of the thirtieth day following that of issue for : import and export licences and advance fixing certificates for agricultural products, as amended by ex 04.01 B in immediate packings Regulation (EEC) No 434/71 ,4 fixed the period of of a net capacity of more validity of export licences for milk and milk than 500 g products ; whereas experience has shown that these periods may cause difficulties on the Community 04.02 A II ( b ) 1 market, in particular for certain products which are ex 04.02 A III ( b ) in immediate packings not exported in small packages in the course of of a net capacity of more normal trade ; whereas these periods should therefore than 500 g and of a fat be shortened ; content by weight ex­ ceeding 11% Whereas the period of validity of advance fixing 04.02 B I ( b ) 2 certificates, laid down in Article 55 of Regulation ( aa) (EEC) No 2637/70 for certain milk products exported in the form of goods not covered by Annex ex 04.02 B II ( b ) in immediate packings II to the Treaty, must be shortened similarly ; of a net capacity of more than 500 g and of a fat content by weight ex­ Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation ceeding 9-5% are in accordance with the Opinion of the 04.03 Management Committee for Milk and Milk 23.07 B I a) 4 Products ; (b ) until the end of the third calendar month following that of issue, for the other products listed in Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 1 OJ No L 148, 28.6.1968, p. 13. 804/68 . 2 OJ No L 143 , 1.7.1970, p . 1 . 3 OJ No L 283, 29.12.1970, p. 15.
