altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas detailed rules for the application of COMMUNITIES, monetary compensatory amounts were laid down by Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 of 29 May 1975 (5), Having regard to the Treaty establishing the as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 571 /76 (6); European Economic Community, whereas the spot market rates recorded for the pound sterling, the Irish pound and the Italian lira pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No 1380/75 during Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) the period 31 March to 6 April 1976 show that the No 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of difference has changed by more than one point from conjunctural policy to be taken in agriculture the percentage taken as a basis when the monetary following the temporary widening of the margins of fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member compensatory amounts were last fixed,

States ( J ), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 (2), and in particular Article 3 thereof, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts Article 1 provided for in Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 1 . In Annex I to Regulation (EEC ) No 572/76 of 15 March 1976 (3 ), as last amended by Regulation the columns headed 'United Kingdom', 'Ireland' and (EEC) No 849/76 (4); 'Italia' are hereby replaced by those set out in Annex I to this Regulation. Whereas, under Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) 2. Annex II to Regulation (EEC) No 572/76 is No 974/71 , the monetary compensatory amounts must be altered if the difference referred to in hereby replaced by Annex II to this Regulation.

Article 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation changes by one point or more from the percentage taken as a basis for the Article 2 preceding determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts must be altered in accordance with the This Regulations shall enter into force on 12 April change in this difference; 1976 .

Thi^ Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .

i1) Le montant compensatoire n'est pas perçu dans la limite dun contingent tarifaire annuel à octroyer par les autorités compétentes des Commu nautés européennes : a) pour des génisses et vaches, autres que celles destinées à la boucherie, de la race grise, brune, jaune tacheté du Simmental et du Pinzgau ; b) pour des taureaux, vaches et génisses autres que ceux destinés à la boucherie, de la race tachetée du Simmental, de la race de Schwyz et de la race de Fribourg.
