COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 509/88 of 25 February 1988 amending for the second time Regulation (EEC) No 1854/87 fixing countervai ling charges on seeds
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, meets the requirements of both the Common Customs Tariff and the nomenclature of goods for the external Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European trade statistics of the Community ; Economic Community, Whereas, as a consequence, the descriptions of goods and Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and tariff heading numbers appearing in Regulation (EEC) No Portugal, 1854/87 should accordingly be expressed in terms of the Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2358/71 combined nomenclature ; of 26 October 1971 on the common organization of the market in seeds ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management No 3997/87 (2), and in particular Article 6 (5) thereof, Committee for Seeds, Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1854/87 (3), as amended by Regulatin (EEC) No 300/88 (4), fixed coun tervailing charges on seeds in respect of a certain type of HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : hybrid maize and sorghum for sowing ; Article 1 Whereas, since that time, a significant variation has been recorded in the free-at-frontier offer prices which, under Annexe I to amended Regulation (EEC) No 1854/87 is the terms of Article 4 (2) of Commission Regulation replaced by Annex to this Regulation. (EEC) No 1665/72 (*) as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 281 1 /86 (*), requires that these charges be amended ; Article 2 Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658 /87 Q, intro duces with effect from 1 January 1988 a combined goods This Regulation shall enter into force on 29 February nomenclature based on the harmonized system which 1988 .
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
